Resilience and Self-Care in Equine Assisted Services: Essential Wellbeing for EAS Professionals
A Wellbeing Webinar for Equine Assisted Services Professionals with Dr Rosie Weir
Working in Equine Assisted Services is deeply rewarding, but it can also be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding. Supporting clients through challenging experiences while managing horses and unpredictable schedules can take a toll over time, leading to stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout if your own wellbeing isn’t prioritised.
On Wednesday, 15th April at 7:00 PM, we hosted a webinar with Dr Rosie Weir, Palliative Medicine Doctor, Yoga Facilitator, and wellbeing advocate. Rosie supports professionals in hands-on, emotionally intensive roles and shared practical strategies to maintain resilience and self-care in Equine Assisted Services work.
The session covered practical strategies for:
- Exploring how you may be affected by working in Equine Assisted Services
- Managing emotional and mental load
- Building resilience for demanding work
- Integrating somatic and mindful practices
- Preventing burnout with realistic, sustainable self-care
The session was interactive, offering attendees space to reflect and engage with practical insights to support their day-to-day wellbeing and resilience.
