Equines in Education: Making a Difference at Rathore Special School

Thanks to the backing of local company Re-Gen Waste Ltd, pupils at Rathore Special School now have the opportunity to take part in the Equines in Education programme. Each week, children take on new challenges, build practical skills, and grow in confidence in the safe, supportive outdoor environment of the school grounds.

Equines in Education: Helping Pupils Grow, Learn, and Thrive at Hill Croft Special School

The Equines in Education programme, now running at Hill Croft Special School, supports pupils from the nurture department in building confidence, resilience, and life skills through weekly sessions with gentle ponies. In a safe, nurturing environment, children can connect, learn, and experience hands-on growth that goes beyond the classroom.

One Equine & Knockevin Special School EAL Pilot

Incorporating the model from our prior pilot project, we collaborated with 3 independent practitioners to develop this 2-year Equine Assisted Learning project. Starting in April 2024, this project caters to students with severe learning difficulties between 3 and 19 years old, enrolled in all three of the Knockevin School sites.
