
On Monday, 10th March, the symposium The Evolving Role of Horses for Human Health took place at the Clonshire Equestrian Centre in Co. Limerick. This was a significant collaborative event showcasing the wide range of models and services within Equine Assisted Services (EAS).
The event began with demonstrations of various models, including:
– Horseboy Method – Terri Brosnan, Lucy Dillon, Sandra Schmid, Helen Picha & St. Joseph’s Foundation Liskennett
– Festina Lente Psychoeducational Vaulting – Jill Carey, Clodagh Healy, Jim Mernin, Tara Barrett & Tyler Reed
– Horse-Centred / Eponaquest – Helen Russell, Advanced Eponaquest Instructor, focusing on teaching embodiment and presence.
– Connected Equines EAS through a Polyvagal Lens – Deirdre Kennedy
– Allied Health Professionals OT/PT Equine Assisted Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy – Audrey Darby, Margaret Walsh
The second part of the event featured presentations from independent practitioners and various service models. Below is a list of the presenters/practices.
