We are deeply saddened to learn that Simone passed away on Wednesday night. Our thoughts are with the family that she had such unbounded love for.
Simone launched Tullynewbank as a dedicated Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy centre after many years running the riding stables, but her vision for, and commitment to, equine assisted practices goes back a long way. Her professionalism, business skills, and sheer dedication were key in her success, but it was her deep empathy for clients that shone through in all interactions with her. This, combined with her willingness to share knowledge and learn from others in the field, truly made a difference to the profile of Equine Assisted Services in Northern Ireland.
Simone’s vision for her practice, and her encouragement of others, played a large part in our decision to set up One Equine Trust to try to give practitioners and practice the recognition deserved.
Her passing is a huge loss to the field of practice here, to her many clients, and to the vision that was created for the future of Tullynewbank. However, we can celebrate the differences she achieved for so many, and the wonderful legacy that will be built upon.
The funeral will take place at 14:00 on Saturday 31st at St Joseph’s, Glenavy. You can also join remotely via the link below.
