Spring Into Action: Promoting Horse Welfare Through Seasonal Changes.
The March One Equine Trust webinar took place on Wednesday March 05ᵗʰ at 7pm.
This month, we focused on the welfare and well-being of our horses. We were excited to be joined by Clinical Animal Behaviourist, Dr. Helen Spence, with whom we delved into the unique challenges horses face as we transition from winter to spring. Together, we explored:
- How to support horses through unpredictable weather
- Key behaviours to watch for
- The risks of laminitis as new grass emerges
- The surprising benefits of turnout, even in wet weather
This webinar provided answers to key questions, advice on current challenges, and valuable insights into enhancing horses’ overall well-being during this season of change!
