How to Show Up Online: Promoting Your EAS Business Across Social Media Platforms and Developing Your Online Brand and Platform
Building an Equine Assisted Services business requires more than delivering great sessions. Whether just starting out or looking to grow their reach, developing a strong online presence can help practitioners connect with clients, raise awareness of their work, and communicate the value of their services.
On Wednesday, 10th June, we hosted a webinar with Cathy Martin (CMPR), who explored practical approaches to promoting an Equine Assisted Services business online, developing a strong brand, and making effective use of social media platforms.
The session covered topics including:
- Building an online presence
- Developing a brand and key messages
- Using social media platforms effectively
- Creating content that reflects your work and values
- Connecting with and growing an online audience
The webinar offered practical ideas and insights to help practitioners strengthen their online presence and promote their services with greater confidence.
We would like to thank Cathy for sharing her knowledge and experience with the One Equine community.ur work with a wider audience.

Some examples of reels and why they work.
1. This one got 44.7 million views! Why? Because it is so visually intriguing and the animal-human connection is always a draw. Even simple videos like this. You only need 10 seconds… It also has really great soothing music… And a perfect written caption too. The horses are mostly still, so the camera person has been clever and moved around the still-ish animals, giving us the movement we crave as viewers of visual storytelling. We can easily see the horse-human connection and the filming isn’t/wasn’t intrusive.
2. Horses’ electromagnetic field or aura 💫 This kind of ‘woo-woo’ therapy / electromagnetic field angle is perfect – it sparks curiosity, even among teh most non-holistic therapy people and the theory itself explained really simply in the written caption – th bigger heart = more magnetism (the written caption is long, so the video continues to loop while we watch, increasing views and therefore engagement potential).
3. 7 ways horses teach us – this list approach keeps you locked in because if number 1 and 2 are strong and interesting, then you definitely want to stay for all 7. The person on camera is natural and not super polished. This can be done in bits with the bloopers taken out and a more polished version used for the final reel. Although NB, bloopers = massive content!
5. This reel got 4.8 million views – it has a really great on-screen hook / just a statement that’s interesting or sparks curiosity, plus a long caption (the watch loop)
6. Stella McCartney – maybe even use her footage (with credits!)
7. Stella McCartney 2 (use her website for inspiration and words etc)
8. LOVE this one – the caption is long, which encourages views on a loop. The on screen text for me needs tightening up. I’d say something like –
