Bringing Equine Assisted Learning into Family Services: The TESSA Experience

Equine Assisted Learning can offer a valuable addition to wider services and support, but introducing it within an organisation can bring its own opportunities, considerations and learning.

On Wednesday, 2nd September, we were joined by Emma Graham, TESSA Project Coordinator, for a webinar exploring how TESSA (Therapeutic, Education and Support Services in Adoption) introduced Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) into its work, alongside Emma’s own training and development in EAL.

The session covered topics including:

  • What led TESSA to explore Equine Assisted Learning
  • How EAL has developed alongside TESSA’s wider services
  • Emma’s training and professional development
  • Learning and reflections from delivering EAL within TESSA
  • How the work may develop in the future

The webinar offered practitioners and organisations an opportunity to hear first-hand about the experience of introducing EAL within a wider service setting, with time for questions and discussion.

We would like to thank Emma for sharing her experience, reflections and learning with us.
